Founded in Boulder Colorado, January 28,1976 by President Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche, we are currently 500 international members strong, with $2.5 million in assets. We granted $800,000 in new loans in 2010.

Ashoka is governed by a Board of Directors elected from our membership at the annual meeting each May. Current Directors are listed on the Contact page. We are regulated by the State of Colorado Division of Financial
Services and the National Credit Union Association (NCUA),
the federal deposit insurer. All members are
invited to inquire about participation in credit union governance.
